Konstantinos Bolias comes from Kallimasia, a village in Chios and is a graduate medical student of the University of Athens and a specialized Children Psychiatrist with a postgraduate degree in Social Psychiatry. His clinical interest is focused, among others, on Autism Spectrum Disorders. He has been a founding member, Director of the Board, Scientific Director and current coworker of the Civil, Nonprofit Organization “Child and Adolescent’s Center of Chios and a Vice president of the Departmental Committee of Mental Health in Chios.
As a scientific coworker he has taken part in the Program of Enhancement of the Scientific Human Resource GSRT, “Hyper kinetic Disorder- Epidemiology Treatment” (1994-96), in the “European Network of Hyper kinetic Disorder” of the program “Eunethydis” (1993) and “Disorder of Attention Deficit with Hyper activity(1992-93). His writing work includes books and publications. His educational activity is wide, since he has been an educator in more than 20 programs of Professional Training of Mental Health Professionals, in the frameworks of the Greek and European Programs.
He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Children- psychiatric Organization of Greece, the Scientific Committee of the Children psychiatric Hospital of Attica, the Greek Scientific Network ASD, the Kinetic and Orientation Center for Blind People, the Scientific Committee “Communication” (Center for Blind People with Special Needs) and the joint venture “Horizon” of Chios. He has also been a founding member of the Board of Directors of the “Company of Mental Health of Children and Teenagers”, “Company of the Protection of the Underage of Chios”, in the county of Chios of the social cooperative of limited liability, a founding member of the Social Cooperative “Augerinos” and of the “Company of Psycho-social Studies” and a coworker of the “Company of Social Psychiatric and Mental Health”.
He takes part in the Work Group for the “Restructuring of the National Mental Health System of the Ministry of Health. His social activity is intense, since he provides free child-psychological services in various institutions where children and teenagers who face serious psychiatric and social problems are hosted.
He is the owner of two private units of 1st degree Mental Health in Athens and scientifically in charge of two others.
