Marianna Tassi was born and raised in Athens. She is a graduate of the Medical School of the University of Athens, specialized in Child-Psychiatry and with a Postgraduate Diploma in Social Psychiatry. She has provided clinical, educational and supervising work for the “Company of Social Psychiatric and Mental “Health in Evros (1992-1995) and for the Organization of Mental Health of Children and Teenagers”, in which she has been a founding member, in Athens and Chios. (1993-1996).
She has worked as a Curator B’ in the National Health System in the University and Children-Psychiatric Clinic for Children of “Agia Sofia” (1997-2001) and as a scientific coworker of the Hostel for the abused children SOS ELISA(2011-12). She currently works as a scientific coworker for the Civil Nonprofit Organization of the “Child and Adolescent’s Center”, in which she has been a founding member, for the “Special Therapeutic Unit, Spyros Doxiadis” and in a private Mental Health unit of 1st degree in Athens.
She never neglects to take part in educational and public awareness activities of the community.
She has attended a two year Family Therapy seminar (Psychiatric Clinic of the Aiginitio Hospital) and a three year seminar of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy for Children and Teenagers (Company of Social Psychiatric and Mental Health), an annual preview seminar of Early Intervention and many others. She has taken part in scientific announcements and committees and in transnational studies and programs (Psychotherapy for Depression during Childhood, Studies for Hyper Kinetic Disorders, Genetic Molecular Study for Autism, Emotional Intelligence in Preschool Children), the results of these studies have been published in scientific magazines and books. Her clinical therapeutic interest is focused, among others, on the supportive psychotherapy of social and emotional development of people with Autism Spectrum Disorders of high functionality.
