Paraskevi (Vivi) Sidirofagi is a graduate of the Physical Education and Sports Department of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens and has completed a Postgraduate Program of Specialization in Autism, which was implemented by the Greek Company for the Protection of People with Autism, of the University of Birmingham.
She has attended a wide range of seminars about Autism in methods and models of rehabilitation, supportive instruments and educational programs for the parents. She has also attended seminars on a variety of subjects in the fields of Mental Health and Special Education. She has been a founding member of the Civil Nonprofit Organization “Child and Teenager’s Center, a Board Director since 2010 and a Board Treasurer (2001-2010).
Since 2005-16 she has been the Administrative Director of the “Child and Adolescent’s Center”, while since June 2016 she has become the Director in charge of the coordination, managing and development of the different institutions and departments in Chios and also of the Child and Adolescent’s Center in general.
Besides her administrative duties since 1996 she has worked as a therapist for children and teenagers with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders and Development Disorders. Moreover, her administration duties include the psychological education of the parents, the awareness and informing of the trainers and the organization and the implementation of seminars for both the teachers and the people accompanying the beneficiaries.
From 2009 until today she has been a supervisor of the therapists and the instructors who work with people with Autism Spectrum Disorders. She has taken part as a speaker, member of scientific and organizational committees in scientific meetings and conferences.
She is a member of the Prefecture Athletic Association for the People with Special Needs of Chios “Iones”, the National Association of Adjusted Athletic and Cultural Activities and for the Social Cooperation of Limited Liability of Chios, a supportive Member in the Greek Company for the Protection of People with Autism and co-founder of the Private Company with Shared Capital, “A millionsenses”.
