Ilianna Filla has been the coordinator and the Scientific Director of the Mobile Mental Health Unit of Chios of the Child and Adolescent’s Center since January 2009. She also offers her services as a Psychiatrist at the Mobile Mental Health Unit at the Adults’ Department of the Center.
She was born and raised in Athens, is a graduate of the Medical School of Patras, and was specialized in Psychiatry at the University of Thrace in Alexandroupoli, where she had the great opportunity to be trained and work with the pioneers of Social Psychiatry in Greece, under the guidance of Professor Sakelaropoulos.
Starting her clinical practice, she attended and completed the Postgraduate Program of Studies in Social Psychiatry-Child Psychiatry of the University of Ioannina in 2006. Since then, she has been steadily active in her choice, working under the Principles of Social Psychiatry and their spirit of humanism.
She believes that the practice of Psychiatry requires constant personal cultivation and education and has been following this path in her professional career, attending further educational programs, for example, the Interdepartmental Program of Clinical Training in Teams’ Dynamics on Psychiatry Environments of the Psychology Department in the 1st Psychiatric Clinic of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and other various Psychiatric and Psychotherapeutic seminars, supervising and experiential training.
