Martha Charisi is 34 years old and studied at a private school as a Preschool Teacher and continued her studies with a second Bachelor's degree in Preschool Day Care Education for children with Special Needs. She has attended the Level 5 BTEC Professional Certificate in Coping With Autistic Spectrum Disorders and the Training Program "Social and Emotional Development Psychotherapy (SED) in medium and high functioning Autistic Spectrum Disorders". She has also attended the "PBS Coaches Program" training program and has participated in the 7th Panhellenic Autism conference as the author of a posted announcement. Finally, she has attended numerous seminars and trainings related to ASD and recently she has focused on the professional integration of people with ASD.
She began working with young adults with Mental Retardation and Autism Spectrum Disorders in 2013 with home-based programs and participating in camps with agencies that serve teenagers and young adults on the autism spectrum, while also she was attending volunteer programs at day centers with people with ASD. She started working at the Child and Adolescent’s Center and more specifically at the specialized center for Diagnosis and Rehabilitation of people with Autism Spectrum Disorders "Helianthus" in 2015.
